Making yarn crafts is really simple and makes for a fun activity with kids or even as a nice gift for others!
Welcome to our very first post on this blog and we hope we can bring you many more! If you want to learn more about me you can head over to the about me page where I talk about who I am!
This makes for the perfect activity if you have about an hour to use up. The project doesn’t take very long!
What will you need to make this craft project?
What is magical about this project is that it does not take much to get it started. The simplicity of it, is what makes it fun.
- Exacto Knife or scissors
- Hot Glue Gun
- Yarn, in brown and 3 additional colors
Let’s get started with this simple yarn wreath!
Now if you are doing this with kids, why not get them to try some other shapes? Circles, stars, or animals wrapped in a colored yarn.
Start by cutting out a ring of cardboard, and wrap your brown yarn around the cardboard. Seal it in place with your hot glue gun.
When using your glue gun, grab some wax paper to rest it in so that if it leaks it is not leaking onto your table or project!
Use our scissors to cut out some simple hear shapes, you will need between 5-7. Varying sizes will give the project some texture.
Wrap the cardboard in colored yarn. Choose colors that look really lovely together. Again, seal this with your hot glue gun to secure the yarn in place.
Take your wrapped hearts and stick them to your wreath
Add a small string to add your wreath to a door or a wall
